Cowgirls Cafe Reviews

I was walking along Santa Ana to Irvine and at first I noticed the blacked out windows and tinted doors. I was expecting a more hooter-esque experience and much to my surprise I was treated with a very wholesome and family environment with service to match. Chicken fried steak... good crisp good gravy a little salty but overall very yummy 3.8/5 Poured the over easy eggs on top to mellow it out The potatoes tasted fresh! less crisp 2.5/5 Biscuits and gravy were very tasty 3.8/5 again a little salty Overall would come again!!

Great prices and great food!! Fabian was an amazing server! Super nice , helpful , considerate, and very attentive.

John Wayne themed and a great spot for breakfast! My girlfriend and I arrived a little over an hour after they opened. There were only 3 or 4 other parties inside so we got seated immediately (we actually sat ourselves in a little booth). Shortly after, it started getting a little busier. Fickled between breakfast and lunch food, I ended up ordering the Chipotle Chicken Sandwich. My girlfriend got the Big Mini Breakfast, and we ordered a Banana Loaf to share. After placing our order it only took about 10 minutes to receive everything. How was it? - Chipotle Chicken Sandwich: Chicken breast, romaine lettuce, tomato, and avocado with chipotle mayonnaise on a French roll. It was decent sized and the chicken was good. Overall it had good flavor. For my side I had chosen fries (because I love fries). They were OK, a little more soggy than I would've liked. - Big Mini Breakfast: 2 eggs, 2 bacon, toast, and hashbrowns (her choice). She said the food was good but the potatos were a little undercooked inside. - Banana Loaf: A thick slice of banana bread (?), topped with whipped butter. Sweet, but not too sweet. Pieces of walnuts and raisins here and there. Moist and heavy. Pretty good. Service was good, multiple people checked up on our table and made sure we were doing OK. Parking wasn't bad considering it's the weekend and we got there early. I can see how it could be an issue during the week ot when it gets busy. Worth a shot!

The food was delicious! We had to come back a second time before we left town. Chili verde was flavorful, country fried steak was as expected but the gravy was what made it really good. The sandwiches were flavored well, wish they packed it a little more. The steak was perfectly cooked medium & had great flavor. Onion rings were delicious with their house made ranch. Clam chowder was great too. Service was amazing on both days. This will be our go-to when in town visiting our daughter from now on.

I just tried Cowgirls Cafe for the first time, and it was awesome! We got seated super quickly, and our waiter was really friendly. After ordering, our food came out fast. I got the Big Mini Breakfast, and it was a lot of food--really tasty too! The only thing was that the waiter kind of forgot about us after bringing our food. I finished my drink pretty quickly and never got a refill. But honestly, I still had a great time and will definitely be coming back!

We came on a weekend so of course this cafe was bustling and super busy. We didn't wait that long to get seated but getting our order taken and the food arriving did take a considerable amount of time. Do be prepared to wait! Staff is very friendly, especially our server Jose. The food did not disappoint and the biscuits and gravy were worth it. The pork chop from the meat lovers dish was also nicely cooked.

To be fair we did come on Sunday for Mother's Day breakfast. I'm kinda happy we came the time we came because by the time we left there was a line outside the door. Despite it being busy I still think we got everything on a timely manner. I think we were there for a total of an hour. From entering to finishing our food. The inside has so much seating!!! And does have the theme going on very well. The costumer service was good as well and had no complaints. Even if it was buster I would totally understand but they did amazing for how packed they were!! I give them huge props!!! We did order a quite a bit of food. But I will judge what's I tried but here is everyone's food!!! Biscuits and gravy 10/10 they accidentally gave us 2 order when asked for one but we still ate it cuz it was that good You can never go wrong with eggs and bacon 10/10 Orange juice 100/10 I think the orange was so worth it. It seemed fresh and all!! No regrets and I would definitely only come for the orange juice if I'm being honest lolz Overall everything was amazing for a busy weekend for them!! All the staff did amazing again!
